My friend found this in her yard in Creston Iowa. Its like a statue.
Oh, boy. That's very crudely constructed, and looks to be someone just starting out with handbuilding with clay. As a primitive or old seeming head, this will be perfect to use as a decorative feature in an overgrown garden; I don't see that it is valuable or old.
I might use this partially hidden among ferns or other greenery, and spray it with buttermilk or yogurt to increase the chances of moss growing on it.
That would make it look old and weathered, which will give it the interesting appearance of antiquity.
Have fun finding the perfect spot for it!
