Rustic Salvage - the Sprinkler

Rustic Salvage - the Sprinkler

I spotted this uniquely refurbished sprinkler in a greenhouse that was being rebuilt. It's a perfect example of someone being really creative - obviously the water pressure must have been too great, and the sprinkler too light, so to keep the stand upright, they added a bicycle sprocket to weigh it down. I love how this looks - it's not just a sprinkler anymore, it's a garden sculpture. Interestingly, it looks as though the size of the hole in the center of the sprocket is exactly right for the sprinkler to go through it.

How can you use some of the 'junk' that you have lying around to make unique and perfectly adapted tools, garden art or decorations?
